Licence and eligibility

Before anything else we confirm the operator's licence with the regulator: a US state gaming commission, the UK Gambling Commission, iGaming Ontario or a provincial lottery corporation. Sign-up and identity checks

We record how long registration and identity verification take, which documents were requested and whether the site asked for anything unusual. Delays at this stage are noted because they usually return at the first withdrawal.

Deposits and bonuses

We deposit with at least two methods and read the full terms of the welcome offer: wagering requirement, game weighting, maximum bet, expiry window and any cap on winnings. When an offer is hard to clear, the review says so near the top.

Games and software

We look at the size and quality of the game library, the published return-to-player figures where the operator lists them, live dealer tables, poker traffic or bingo room schedules, and how the site performs on a phone.

Withdrawals

We request withdrawals and time them from request to money received, noting pending periods, fees and any extra checks. Payout speed and reliability carry the most weight in the score.
