DraftKings Casino Review: The Better Pick If You Already Bet Sports?
DraftKings Casino shares one wallet with its sportsbook and pushes exclusive slots and daily rewards. We compared its app listing and offer with BetMGM to see who it suits better.
Our verdict
DraftKings Casino is the easier daily habit for anyone who already has a DraftKings account, and its iPhone app scores a strong 4.7 from over 113,000 ratings. For a pure casino player, BetMGM's library looks deeper. The headline offer is a small deposit for a large pile of spins, which sounds generous until you read the per-spin value and the expiry terms.
Best for: Sports bettors who want a casino inside the same account
The question we were asked is narrow: is DraftKings' casino app a better everyday pick than BetMGM for someone who also bets on sports? Our answer is "yes, if the sportsbook is your main account, and no if casino games are your main interest." Here is the reasoning, along with the parts we could not verify.
DraftKings blocked our capture tool on its main and casino pages (HTTP 403). So the images below come from the App Store listing, the public help centre and Wikipedia, and the figures come from Apple's lookup data. We did not run a timed cash-out for this review.
A casino that grew out of a sportsbook
DraftKings began in daily fantasy sports and added sports betting and then casino. That history shapes the product. The casino is not a separate site you visit: it sits in the same app family, under the same login and, depending on your state, the same wallet. For a bettor, that means a losing Sunday does not require a new registration to play a few spins on Monday.
That convenience cuts both ways. Moving money from the sportsbook to the casino with one tap makes it easy to chase losses. If you notice yourself doing that, use the deposit limits and the cool-off tools rather than willpower.
The app, in numbers
The casino app is listed on the App Store as "DraftKings Casino - Real Money", published by DraftKings LLC, free to download, with an 18+ store rating. At the time of writing it averaged 4.7 from about 113,000 ratings, and version 5.56.0 had been released on 2 November 2026. It is a larger download than BetMGM's, around 206 MB against roughly 135 MB, which is worth knowing on an older phone.
What the headline offer is really worth
The first store screenshot advertises "Play $5, Get 1000 Spins" for new casino players. A thousand sounds like a lot until you divide. Spins in offers like this are normally fixed at a small value per spin, often a few cents. At 5 cents a spin, 1,000 spins carry a face value of $50, and the slot's own house edge still applies to each one.
Questions to answer before you accept any spin bundle:
- What is the value of one spin?
- Are winnings paid in cash or as bonus credit with its own wagering?
- Do the spins arrive all at once or in daily batches that expire?
The screenshot's small print hints at batches over a number of days. Read the live terms in your state, since we could not load them here.
DraftKings versus BetMGM
| Question | DraftKings Casino | BetMGM Casino | | --- | --- | --- | | iPhone app rating | 4.7 from about 113,000 | 4.7 from about 148,000 | | App size | About 206 MB | About 135 MB | | Strongest pull | Shared sportsbook account, Lightning Link | Very large slot catalogue | | Best for | Sports bettors | Casino-first players |
The ratings are effectively tied, so the decision is about habits. If you open the DraftKings app on game day anyway, the casino is one tab away and you manage one set of limits. If you play casino games five nights a week and bet on sport once a month, BetMGM's catalogue is the better fit.
Support and the help centre
DraftKings runs a public help centre organised by topic and by product. We captured it only to confirm it exists and is browsable without logging in, which is a small point in its favour: you can read the withdrawal and verification rules before you deposit.
Daily rewards: a reason to return, or a reason to stay too long
The third store screenshot sells "Fuel your fun with daily rewards" through a feature called Rewards Rocket. Daily reward mechanics are built to bring you back every day, and that is exactly why we treat them with caution. A free daily bonus is fine. A streak you feel obliged to protect by depositing is not.
A simple rule we use: if a reward changes how much you deposit, ignore it. If it only changes which slot you open, enjoy it. Set the session reminder to 30 or 60 minutes and the reward loop loses most of its pull.
Verdict
DraftKings Casino is a good second product on a good first product. We rate it a little below BetMGM for catalogue depth and would not pick it purely for the spin bundle. Choose it if the sportsbook is already your home, set a monthly limit before the first deposit, and treat every spin as entertainment that costs money. Support is available at 1-800-GAMBLER if play stops being fun.
