Mecca Bingo review: penny tickets, busy rooms and one unclear bonus
Mecca Bingo brings a high-street name online with 1p tickets, daily prize pools and a £5 welcome deal. We read the rooms, prize claims and licence details, and flag what the lobby leaves out.
Our verdict
A solid, properly licensed bingo site with cheap tickets, a wide room spread and real brand heft. Prize claims are large, but the welcome bonus terms are not on the front page, third-party sites disagree on wagering and payout times, and jackpots are never guaranteed. Good for casual UK players on small stakes. Check the bonus terms before you deposit.
Best for: UK bingo fans who want 1p to 25p tickets and a well-known licensed brand

Mecca Bingo is the easy bingo site to like and the hard one to pin down. The rooms are cheap, the brand is real, and the licence is in order. The part we could not settle from the front page is the welcome bonus: the home page says only that individual bonus T&Cs apply, and the review sites we cross-checked quote different wagering and different payout times. If you take the offer, read those terms first.
We did not make deposits for this review. What follows is drawn from Mecca's own pages, a captured room lobby and independent bingo guides, and we say which is which.
Penny tickets are the real draw
Bingo is a low-stakes game by nature, and Mecca leans into it. On its home page, Gold Bingo is described as tickets from 1p, with "at least £65,000 in prizes won every day". Penny Lane also starts at 1p and claims more than £100,000 in prizes paid each week, with prizes up to £500. Main Event runs 5p to 10p tickets with prizes up to £10,000, and Emoji Bingo starts at 25p with up to five jackpots.

Read those numbers the way they are meant: they are pools shared across everyone in the room. A £22,064 tile on the lobby tells you what the room has paid or will pay in total, not what a single ticket tends to return. Mecca itself says jackpots are not guaranteed to be won in every game, unlike line wins and full houses.
The room spread is the better argument for the site. The home page names Gold Bingo, Penny Lane, Main Event, Emoji Bingo, Dab and Blab Live, a US-style Jive Talking room and a free room called Lucky for Some. An OLBG review counts more than 25 rooms, including one for newcomers. Our own count of named rooms is lower because we only listed what the home page shows.
The welcome offer, and the missing line
The home page says new players can claim one welcome offer, with a £5 minimum deposit (excluding PayPal and Paysafe) and a £5 minimum spend. Its FAQ says that spending your deposit on bingo gets a £20 bingo bonus, while spending it on slots gets 50 free spins on King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas. A £10 club voucher is tied to becoming a Mecca Legend.

Here is the catch. The wagering requirement does not appear on that page. OLBG lists 5x wagering with a 21-day expiry. Sports Mole lists 5x with 28 days and a £10 minimum, and its bonus amounts differ again. Groupon's listing says the £10 voucher works only in physical clubs. Offers change often, so the live terms on the bonus page are the only number to trust. A £20 bonus that carries wagering is not the same thing as £20 of cash.
Payouts and the evidence gap
We found no consistent public record of withdrawal speed. One guide quotes about 15 minutes for the fastest method, another says PayPal usually clears within 24 hours and debit cards take three to five business days. That spread is wide enough that you should test it yourself with a small withdrawal early, before you have a balance you care about.
Beyond bingo
Mecca also sells slots and an arcade section, where our capture showed Keno and wheel games from the Originals range. These are standard casino products with a house edge, and they are a different risk from a 1p bingo ticket. It is easy to drift from one to the other.

Licence and who it suits
The site is operated by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Ltd. For Great Britain the home page lists UK Gambling Commission account 57924, and it says only players aged 18 and over may play. Gibraltar licences cover customers outside Great Britain. Rank also runs the physical Mecca clubs, and Gambling.com counts more than 70 of them.
Mecca suits UK players who want inexpensive, social bingo from a brand they recognise, and who will set a weekly limit and keep to it. It is a weaker fit if you want clear bonus terms at a glance, or if you are drawn mainly by the large prize figures. Every game has a house edge, and the biggest numbers on the page are the least likely ones. If play stops being fun, the site's own limit tools and the responsible gambling page here are the next stop.
